Film Submission Period

Mumbai World Cinema Festival (MWCF) welcomes film submissions from across India and around the world.

Submission Window: June – August

Filmmakers can submit their Feature Films, Short Films, Documentaries, Animation Films, Music Videos, Web Series, and Independent Cinema projects during this period.

Official Selection Announcement

September

All selected projects will be carefully reviewed by the festival screening committee and jury panel. The Official Selection List, Nominees, and Special Mentions will be announced in September through the MWCF website and official communication channels.

After September (Date To Be Announced)

The grand MWCF Festival and Awards Ceremony will be organized after the official announcement period. The final event date and venue will be revealed through our official platforms.

Submission Rights & Ownership Policy

The submitter must be the rightful owner of the film, project, or content being submitted, or must possess all necessary permissions, licenses, and legal authority required for festival submission.

By submitting an entry to Mumbai World Cinema Festival (MWCF), the applicant confirms that they hold all copyrights, intellectual property rights, music rights, image rights, and distribution permissions associated with the submitted work.

MWCF shall not be held responsible for any copyright infringement, ownership disputes, unauthorized use of content, or legal claims arising from the submitted material. Any such matters shall remain the sole responsibility of the submitter.

The participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless MWCF, its management, jury members, partners, sponsors, and affiliates from any legal disputes or claims related to the submitted work.

By submitting a film, the applicant declares that all information provided is accurate and that they possess the legal rights necessary to participate in the festival.

💳 Submission Fees

To maintain a professional and transparent evaluation process, all film submissions require a registration fee. The fee supports screening, judging, administration, and festival operations.

Sample Fees:

Short Film – ₹599

Feature Film – ₹1999

Documentary – ₹699

Music Video – ₹499

Web Series – ₹1499

Important Submission Policy

All submission fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

Once a film, project, or entry has been successfully submitted and the registration fee has been paid, the payment cannot be refunded, cancelled, or adjusted, regardless of selection status, withdrawal requests, scheduling changes, technical issues from the applicant's side, or any other reason.

The submission fee covers administrative processing, review management, screening coordination, jury evaluation, and festival operational expenses.

Submission does not guarantee official selection, nomination, screening, award recognition, or festival participation. All entries are reviewed according to MWCF's selection criteria and the final decision of the festival jury and management shall be considered final.

By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
